What does CogniSoft do?
CogniSoft is a specialist software development company with over 30 years of experience providing Management Information Systems (MIS) and case management software to training providers, employability programmes, careers services, and youth support organisations across the UK. Our products — YETI and IO — help organisations manage learner and client data, ensure funding compliance, and evidence the impact of their work.
What is YETI and who is it for?
YETI is our flagship MIS platform designed for providers delivering funded skills and employability programmes. It supports a wide range of contracts including apprenticeships, AEB, Bootcamps, DWP Restart, UKSPF, Connect to Work, National Careers Service, and more. It's suitable for both small providers running a single contract and large organisations managing multiple complex programmes.
What is IO and how does it differ from YETI?
IO is our case management CRM designed specifically for NCCIS, NEET, youth support, and careers services. While YETI is optimised for skills and employability programme delivery, IO focuses on community learning, youth and careers case management — including full NCCIS compliance checking and DfE data returns. Both products can work alongside each other depending on your needs.
Which funding streams and contracts does your software support?
Our software supports a broad range of funding streams and contracts, including ESFA (AEB, Bootcamps, Multiply), UKSPF, DWP programmes (Restart, Connect to Work, Trailblazers), National Careers Service, Welsh and Scottish Government programmes, and NCCIS/NEET returns. Built-in forms and compliance rules are tailored to each funding stream.
Is the software compliant with ESFA and DfE data requirements?
Yes. Both YETI and IO include built-in business rules and real-time data validation that guide users through data entry in line with the relevant funding body rules. This ensures your ILR, NCCIS, and other data returns are accurate and compliant before submission, significantly reducing the time spent correcting errors.
