The People Hub project at Cornwall Council

Background

The People Hub’s project at Cornwall Council is part of the wider economic development activity that aims to create jobs, increase productivity, upskill Cornwall’s workforce and deliver measurable improvements in Cornwall’s economic performance.

The project is part funded by the European Social Fund and helps people in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly access employability services and training. The team work 1-2-1 with participants to help them overcome barriers to accessing work.

CogniSoft provided their YETI case management system to help manage the data and funding requirements for the project.

The challenge

The project was in partnership with The People Hub, who provide support for people over 16 who live in Cornwall and are:

Unemployed and wondering what options are open to them
Out of work and looking to retrain or develop new skills
Recently been made redundant and want to get back to work
Looking for help with moving forward but aren’t sure where to go
Anyone in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly who need support and advice around employment, education and training

The People Hub were recording their data on Excel spreadsheets that were becoming increasingly difficult to use as more clients came on board. It became harder to track client progress and report on outcomes.

The solution

CogniSoft implemented YETI, helping to streamline The People Hub’s processes by moving them from paper based to digital. This made data entry quicker for the team on the ground and easier for the compliance team to check and run reports. YETI also provides oversight of information for all users at any given time from any location.

CogniSoft also provide specialist case management software alongside the knowledge and experience of their Implementation Consultants. The Implementation Consultant supported The People Hub step by step and provided guidance from previous projects to ensure the system supported the project’s processes effectively.

The result

Since working with CogniSoft, The People Hub reported that their systems are much quicker and users can access information from anywhere.

Users find it easier to work with clients and it is simple to navigate the flow of forms within the system.

The compliance team now have information readily available to understand where everyone is in the process, giving them richer management information and the ability to run reports required to secure funding.
